End of Week 4 Thoughts

Had a tough FF week? Not happy with how your team did? No worries! Put your feet up and let off some "steam" with Jeff's End of Week 4 Thoughts. (I laugh so hard everytime I watch this Vine).

1) Here are my thoughts on Week 4 expressed in gifs:

a) Matchup #1: Rainbow Warriorz (73.86) vs. DanceDoThe#JULIO (100.28)

I'm not going to lie. After Rodgers threw for 5 TDs last week, I was feeling pretty good about my team. But there's big difference between perception:

And reality:

Meanwhile, Eric and his team:

b) Matchup #2: ThisTimeNextWeek 3-1 (74.36) vs. Cry Me A Rivers (116.42)

All week long Tim talked smack to Andrew.

Said things like this:

And this:

And this:

Here was Andrew's response:

c) Matchup #3: David's Team (88.92) vs. It's a me! Mariota! (84.22)

David Li after getting production from both RBs this week:

David Lin after watching Peyton and OBJ play this week:

David Li after Ebron failed to give David Lin enough points tonight:

d) Matchup #4: DeEz Nuts (61.26) vs. Aaron Chou's Team (84.78)

Justina after realizing she forgot to switch out Gronk and K. Wright this week:

My reaction to Justina's mistake:

Aaron's reaction to Justina's mistake:

e) Matchup #5: I Called Game (76.64) vs. TOUCHDOWN MACHINE (98.26)

Duke's reaction to Arian Foster's performance in Week 4:

And realizing he left 50+ points (Sam Bradford and Vincent Jackson) on the bench:

Gabs' reaction to Devonta Freeman blowing up again for 30+ points. (I can totally see him doing this move in real life):

Gabs' team is growing stronger.

f) Matchup #6: PeppaPig (85.24) vs. Di Yi (85.94)

With three minutes left in the Dallas vs. New Orleans game, Luke was like:

Then T. Williams did the unthinkable:

Giving Abraham the win by 0.7 points!!!!

Here's Luke now:

Ouch Luke. You were close. SO CLOSE.

3) Here was my reaction to seeing Matt Hasselbeck in the Colts' starting lineup on Sunday:
I thought he retired 4-5 years ago. Apparently, not. This season marks his 17th year in the NFL.

4) Remember how I said David Lin's team would live and die by the Broncos? I thought just occured to me. What is David going to do when the Broncos have their bye in Week 7? That's 4 players he's got to replace.

5) Here's Andrew's reaction when he realizes he's the lucky guy playing David Lin in Week 7:

Ima go ahead and add another tally to Andrew's win column.

6) After the Eagles dropped to 1-3, Chip Kelly be like:

Meanwhile, DeMarco Murray be like:

Did you know Murray played less than 50% of the Eagles' offensive snaps last week? The Eagles are paying the man $40+ million and yet he's spending half of his time on the bench. It's not looking good in Philly.

7) Another week and another group of no-name, waiver wire WRs blow up. Here's the list for Week 4:

-Tavon Austin (23.60)
-Kenny Stills (14.10)
-Kamar Aiken (13.70)
-Riley Cooper (13.20)
-Cecil Shorts (12.70)
-Brandon Tate (11.50)
-Eddie Royal (11.40)
-Dwayne Harris (11.10)
-Miles Austin (11.10)

If you're like me, you're probably wondering if any of these guys are worth pursuing. Is the next Victor Cruz on this list? Or am I staring at a bunch of one-hit-wonders? Decisions, decisions.

8) The injuries keep piling up. This week's injury report includes names like Jordan Reed (concussion, MCL sprain) and Steve Smith (four broken ribs). McCoy is also not coming back until at least Week 7.

Meanwhile in Dallas, the Cowboys lost another set of key players last week. Lance Dunbar left the New Orleans game with a left knee injury, and Sean Lee, the Cowboys' heart and soul on defense, sustained a concussion.

Jerry Jones is trying to stay positive, but judging from his comments the other day...

"It's not quite apples and oranges when the guy on the other side of the deal is Brees and you're dealing with a guy as limited as Weeden, " Jones said. "And we were."

Translation:

9) Did anybody watch the end of MNF?

Kam Chancellor is a huge difference maker for the Seahawks. What a smart play. The Seahawks haven't allowed an offensive TD since he has returned to the team. It's going to be fun to watch them play against the Bengals next week, who have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL this year.

10) It was also interesting to see what the Seahawks did in response to Calvin Johnson's fumble. Rather than trying to recover the ball, KJ Wright batted the ball out of the end zone. I thought this was a smart move on the Seahawks part. Apparently though, intentionally batting a ball out the end zone is illegal.
