Power Rankings: Week 7

I apologize for the blog drought, but the writings are back on.  We have some new faces at the top of the rankings, while the bottom remains largely the same.  As we near the mid-way point of the season, the playoff picture is beginning to develop.  More on that in a future post.  As for now... power rankings!

1. Seenie J (4-2) [2]

A new #1.  And Jeff did it this week without help from his newly-acquired WRs!  But with Matt Forte putting up solid numbers and Andrew Luck still playing like the best QB in Fantasy right now, Jeff can have a few weeks where his WRs don't show up and still manage to pull out a W.  It also helps that Philly D is playing out of control.

2. Charlotte Hornets (5-1) [5]

Still getting massive help from Philip Rivers and his WRs, Abraham continues to kill it.  Now we see what his team is capable of if his RBs can give him somewhat decent numbers.  He's also somehow managing to play his defenses really well.  PLUS he still has $95 to spend on waivers.  Impressive.

3. Unicorn Burps (4-2) [1]

I was very shocked when I saw David's team put up only 71 points.  Marshawn got stuffed, and negative points from any player never helps.  Not having AardvarkJellyfish Green is going to hurt him for a while, too.  In spite of that, David still has a solid team.  He's patched up his WR spot decently, but will be moving forward without any waiver money to spend.  Interesting.  We'll see how he manages his team from here.

4. Spider Pig (4-2) [7]

Another impressive showing from Luke's team.  He can't expect those numbers from Torrey Smith and Eric Decker every week, but his team is looking better than it did 4 weeks ago.  He did a good job insuring himself with those Minnesota RBs, let's just see if he can get more consistency out of his team and continue starting the right players.

5. Terrific Tortoises (3-3) [4]

David's team pulls it together from last week and puts up more impressive numbers.  Percy Harvin should bounce back, and David should get some easy wins these next two weeks against Aaron and Eric.  His record and points for doesn't necessarily show it, but David's still got a good team.  His bump down in the rankings after a win, however, is due primarily to the rise of Abraham and Luke's teams.

6. DeMarco Da Murrier (3-3) [3]

Yahoo!'s commentary: "Seenie J Throat-Punches DeMarco Da Murrier for Fourth Straight Win."  Harsh.  Her RBs are looking as strong as ever, now with freaking Knowshon out of the Miami backfield, but Stafford and WRs need to step it up.  Sad news about Bictor, but Justina can bounce back.  Maybe.

7. Odoyle rules! (3-3) [6]

A tough loss, but a glimmer of hope that my team is not entirely a flop in spite of my questionable decision-making abilities.

8. I'm Coming Home. (4-2) [8]

Up against a more legitimate opponent, Duke's team falters.  A nice Larry Fitzgerald pickup helped his hurting WR situation, but I'm still not convinced Duke's team is 4-2 great.

9. #myteamSUCKS (2-4) [9]

Eric is being a little dramatic with his team name change, but there is a little bit of truth in it.  He got a favorable matchup playing Aaron this past week, and he even put up a decent number of points with the help of Rodgers, Jordy, and Denver Defense, but his RBs are just not looking good at all.  And there's nothing wrong with that picture - that's some good form right there.

10. TY come again (1-5) [10]

TY wasn't enough for newly-owned Apu's team.  Russell didn't show up, unfortunately, and Apu's RB situation continues to haunt him.

11. The Pain Train (2-4) [11]

Gabs will take all the wins he can get, even if his defense scores more points than both his RBs and his WR3 combined.  A win is a win.  Doesn't mean his team is in that much better shape, though.

12. Chou Chainz (1-5) [12]

Aaron is right.  His team is ugly.  What has this taught us?  Never let Yahoo! autodraft for you in an auction draft.

Predictions: Week 6

Week 5 Predictions Record: (4-2)
Overall Predictions Record: (15-15)

Back to .500 for my predictions - YAY.  Predictions come out early and are rapid-predictions because I'm off to Hawaii PLAYAS.  That means no Monday Lulz, and my next post will be Power Rankings sometime Tuesday, maybe Wednesday.  Peas.

*~*Game Of The Week*~*
DeMarco Da Murrier v. Seenie J
QB
A.Luck has been getting the work done.
Advantage: Seenie J

WR
Maclin carrying Mac-truck the load.  New team name, Jeff?  The Maclin Trucks?  Holla At Yo Maclin Daddy?  BB Maclin?
Advantage: Seenie J

RB
Forte will run all over Atlanta.  DeMarco will not run all over Seattle.
Advantage: Seenie J

TE
Greg Olsen, my man. (I wish)
Advantage: DeMarco Da Murrier

K/DEF
I like Nick Novak kicking ridiculousness over Oakland
Advantage: DeMarco Da Murrier

Winner: Seenie J
This is probably the most interesting matchup of the week, hence the Game Of The Week (GOTW) tag.  Jeff's got a scary team, though, so I think it's his game to lose.

Odoyle rules! v. Charlotte Hornets
QB
Cutler in a shootout with Atlanta.
Advantage: Odoyle rules!

WR
Abraham wins it with his WRs.  Game over.
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

RB
Le'Veon carries the load for my team, regardless of who is my RB2.  That's right - I might start Oliver over Shady.
Advantage: Odoyle rules!

TE
Don't even know who I'll be starting, to be honest.
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

K/DEF
I actually like my San Diego Defense.
Advantage: Odoyle rules!

Winner: Charlotte Hornets
Abraham's team is on a roll, and my team will not be stopping him this week.

Toe Jam v. The Pain Train
QB
Peyton Manning.  Drew Brees on bye.  Bye bye bye, Train.
Advantage: Toe Jam

WR
I feel like I shouldn't even waste my time with these categories.  Even with AnkleJuke Green's toe in question, David's got better WRs.
Advantage: Toe Jam

RB
Fun fact: The earliest record of unicorns in Western literature was made by Greek historian Ctesias.  He wrote in 5th century BC that the beast had a white body, purple head, blue eyes, and a multi-colored horn.
Advantage: Toe Jam

TE
The one thing Gabs can rely on.  Orange Julius.
Advantage: The Pain Train

K/DEF
Whatever.  The game was over at QB.
Advantage: Toe Jam

Winner: Toe Jam

...Straight from the unicorn's mouth.

GHOTEM v. Spider Pig
QB
Russell has been impress.
Advantage: GHOTEM

WR
Luke wants Demaryius to carry him to victory again.  It might just happen.  Again.
Advantage: Spider Pig

RB
Eh, Luke by a little, only because I think Arian Foster might do well again.
Advantage: Spider Pig

TE
Antoniooooo.  Gates.
Advantage: Spider Pig

K/DEF
What's up with that Seattle Defense?  They've been laying stink bombs in the Fantasy world.
Advantage: Spider Pig

Winner: Spider Pig
Sorry, Andrew.

I'm Coming Home. v. Terrific Tortoises
QB
Eh, slight advantage David.
Advantage: Terrific Tortoises

WR
David definitely has the better WRs.
Advantage: Terrific Tortoises

RB
Gio will bounce back.
Advantage: Terrific Tortoises

TE
Gronk giving Duke a fighting chance.
Advantage: I'm Coming Home.

K/DEF
Matchups favor David slightly, but I'll throw Duke a bone here.
Advantage: I'm Coming Home.

Winner: Terrific Tortoises
As previously mentioned, Duke's team isn't as strong as its record shows.  Going up against David Li this week should bring that to light.

Chou Chainz v. #myteamSUCKS
QB
Aaron Rodgers.
Advantage: #myteamSUCKS

WR
Jordy, Emmanuel, DeSean.  I think Eric's being a little hard on himself.
Advantage: #myteamSUCKS

RB
I don't even know.  Both have messes to deal with.  Aaron might have a little less of a mess.
Advantage: Chou Chainz

TE
Jimmy Graham on bye!  And hurt!
Advantage: #myteamSUCKS

K/DEF
Liking Denver D v. NYJ.
Advantage: #myteamSUCKS

Winner: #myteamSUCKS
Ok, Eric's team might suck.  But not as bad as Aaron's.

Power Rankings: Week 6

I love MNF games that determine Fantasy games.  It gives me one more thing to root for, even if there are no implications for my own team.  I guess it helped that it was a Seahawks game, too.

This week's rankings brought to you in part by Beirut's "The Rip Tide" - probably my favorite album to have come out in the past 3 years.

1. Unicorn Burps (4-1) [1]

Squeaks out yet another win, but no reason to bump him off the top spot quite yet.  An upgrade at QB gives him a lot more wiggle room if some of the other positions don't show up (case in point, this week), and Marshawn continues to dominate.  David's team is still the one to beat - and I'm being serious in saying that.  I don't know why he hates me so much for it.  You'd think he'd show some more appreesh.

2. Seenie J (3-2) [3]

The only good photos I have of Jeff all put his masculinity into question, so I'll have to settle on this one until someone can give me better "Jeff-friendly" material.  Fantasy-football-wise, his team made a name for itself this past week with a whopping 137.78 points, with generous contributions from the newcomers Maclin and Quick.  Interesting fact: so far this season, Jeff's team is the only one that has actually scored in the top half of the league every single week.  He just had some tough losses the first two weeks, otherwise he technically should have a 5-0 record...

3. Mo Murray No Probs (3-2) [4]

It ended up being a closer win than Justina probably would have liked, but a win is a win.  She breaks 3-digits doing it, so I'm still impressed.  Keep riding that Murray Train toot toot.

4. Terrific Tortoises (2-3) [2]

David Li's team scores a devastatingly low 69.08 points this week, and without much help from newly-acquired Trent Richardson.  Not that another RB would have given him the victory.  But the poor overall performance from this past week bumps his team down in the rankings.  David still has a solid team, though - I'm ok calling Week 5 a dud with Gio underperforming on Sunday night, Percy Harvin getting 3 TDs called back, and Kelvin Benjamin dropping some dumb passes.  I'd still be, and still am, scared of his team.  He'll just have a tough time week to week figuring out who to start at RB2.  Even with that problem, he should consider himself luckier at RB than some others (refer to Eric, Aaron, or Abraham's teams).

5. Charlotte Hornets (4-1) [6]

Abraham grabs the victory, shoots up to 2nd place in the league, and will be holding on to it for dear life.  His RBs are still not impressive, but at least he has a short-term solution in Andre Williams, plus some waiver money to spend.  Don't ask me how, but his team is getting it done.  Football has become a QB and WR game, and Abraham's team is proof that its Fantasy counterpart has also become that way.

6. Odoyle rules! (3-2) [5]

Eternal frustration over Shady will define my season, I can feel it.  He will be my 2013 C.J. Spiller of this year.  And then I'm going to trade my soul to Jeff to get Darren Sproles, but he's going to overcharge me like he wanted to overcharge me for Peyton.  Just can't win.  Oh, and anyone want to donate a TE to me?

7. Spider Pig (3-2) [8]

Demaryius had his breakout game, and both Arian Foster and Antonio Gates played like they were having blasts from the past, giving Luke's team the 2nd most points this week.  While it can't completely erase the previous poor 2-week showing, and it can't give Luke that every-week consistency that I'm sure he wants, it at least gives Luke some hope.  Therefore, his team deserves to start its ascension in the rankings, as predicted in last week's rankings.

8. I'm Coming Home. (4-1) [7]

Duke's team ought to be 1-4, not 4-1.  No bitterness here, but I'm just explaining why I'm not giving his team a bump up, but an ever-so-slight bump down.  Megatron has been disappointing, and may be out for a few games, which gives Duke's team a big blow.  He still has some other WRs to lean on, as well as Gronk, but he's been getting lucky with his matchups the past 3 weeks, having faced Luke, Aaron, and Eric.  He'll have a tougher 4-week stretch coming up (David Li, me, Justina, David Lin) that will give his team some tough tests.

9. #SOverySHADY (1-4) [9]

Not starting DeSean Jackson proved to be detrimental, but Eric's team is definitely better than its record shows.  He needs some upgrades at RB, but it might have been a blessing in disguise for him when he dumped Shady into my lap, because he now gets increased production at QB and WR while still maintaining a dismal RB situation.

10. GHOTEM (1-4) [10]

Some1 already anger.
Much lose.
0% wow.
No funy more.
Need win 4 hapy.
Jamaar Charsa ni zai narrr???
Wah Jeffry what hapen to face?

11. The Pain Train (1-4) [11]

Tough loss for Gabs - he was quietly sneaking up on Justina while everyone else was talking about the Andrew-David Lin matchup.  Hauschka only needed one more FG, and it would have been a tie.  A long FG, and Gabs would have won.  Eddie Lacy and his breakout week gives Gabs a little bit of hope.  Gabs will need a little more to get him out of this hole, though.  That Muscle Hamster is doing him no good.  Now that I look at his photo more, he is starting to look kind of worried.

12. Chou Chainz (1-4) [12]

Austin Davis is developing as a pretty good pickup for Aaron, but he'll need a lot more help at other positions to be seen as a long-term threat, especially with Zac Stacy and Jimmy Graham's statuses unknown.

Monday Lulz

Sometimes (most of the time) this is how I feel about Fantasy Football.  And I fell like David Lin is that little girl cheerleader on the right who is laughing and jumping for joy at the major fail.  And then he goes out and e-mails his feelings for me to the whole league.  I don't know why there's so much hatred.

  • Wow Jeff cashed in big this week from his trade.  Instead of "wasted" Peyton Manning points on the bench, he converted them to 13.6+20.7=34.3 points between Maclin and Quick.  I guess I was wrong in thinking he got taken advantage of.  Can he rely on them and Justin Forsett week in and week out, though?  Time will tell.

  • Eddie Lacy does really well for Gabs, but his team still isn't able to pull it together.  Unless Hauschka can score 15 points on MNF.  It's definitely doable - don't give up just yet, Gabs!

  • GHOTEM with 44.70 points.  #MONDAYLULZ

  • Ok, in all fairness, Andrew still has Russell Wilson and Seattle D for MNF, so he could get upwards of... 75 points by Tuesday Morning.  #MONDAYLULZ

  • And watch David Lin's team fall because of the Timmy Curse.  Not saying it's probable, but it's possible.  Marshawn gets hurt on the first play, Russell throws 4 TDs, runs in 2 TDs, and Seattle D has a shutout and pick-6.  That would be a REAL #MONDAYLULZ ... oh wait, is this why you hate me, David? So much sense make.

  • Still amazing that Abraham is getting it done with no production from his RBs.  Combined 2.9+1.8=4.7 points from both his RBs, and he's likely to win this week unless Percy Harvin scores 30 points for David Li.

  • Megatron... what a disappointment.  Yet Duke still pulls out a win this week.  Poor Eric, with some struggling RBs, he manages to score only 76 points.  The funny thing is, if he hadn't made the trade with me, his team would have been SO much worse.  Like, almost Aaron's team status.  No Rodgers, no Emmanuel Sanders, and WITH an underperforming Shady.  That Shady.... doing me wrong.

  • And when you thought Aaron's team couldn't get any worse... Jimmy Graham - out.  Zac Stacy - out.  Ouch.

  • I'm happy to see Torrey Smith went for $7.  I honestly thought he'd go for nothing.  And David Lin was going to spend $5 on him, too!  Anyways, good luck with him, Luke.  I'm tempted to throw Larry Fitznubulus out there and see how much he'd go for.  Just for kicks.

Predictions: Week 5

Week 4 Predictions Record: (4-2)
Overall Predictions Record: (11-13)

Odoyle rules! v. Seenie J
QB
Andrew Luck has been doing better than Jay Cutler this season, but Cutler is playing a hurting Panthers Defense that has been eaten apart by so-so QBs the past two weeks (Big Ben and Joe Flacco).  It's a slight advantage, but I'm liking my matchup in this one.
Advantage: Odoyle rules!

WR
Jeff added Maclin, which will give his WRs a much-needed boost.  I'm not big on Crabtree, since he's been up-and-down, but Quick will likely add a few extra points.  I like my not-superstars-but-still-get-work-done WRs, but not enough to go up against Maclin and crew.
Advantage: Seenie J

RB
Sure, Forte is going to run all over the Panthers struggling D, but Justin Forsett won't be scoring more than 10 points this week for Jeff.  I'm liking my matchups with Le'Veon Bell against Jacksonville and McCoy against St. Louis.  Shady do me right, PLZ.
Advantage: Odoyle rules!

TE
I have no idea what my TE situation is going to be like, and Dwayne Allen has been impressive the past two weeks.
Advantage: Seenie J

K/DEF
I think Philly D will do well against the Rams for Jeff, and the other matchups don't look all too impressive.
Advantage: Seenie J

Winner: Odoyle rules!
Even though Jeff's team wins more categories, I think his advantage in those categories (WR, TE, and K/DEF) isn't enough to overcome my advantage at RB.  I really am hoping Shady will blow up against a weak St. Louis Defense and I can finally feel good about giving up Aaron Rodgers for him.

Mo Murray Less Probs v. The Pain Train
QB
Neither QB has been stellar, but Drew Brees has been a little more consistent, and is at least facing an easy TB Defense.
Advantage: The Pain Train

WR
Neither team has amazing WRs, but Gabs's looks like they're struggling a little more than Justina's.
Advantage: Mo Murray Less Probs

RB
DeMarco!!  99 points - calling it right now.
Advantage: Mo Murray Less Probs

TE
You know I favor Greg Olsen, but Julius is back in action for Gabs, and he'll need all the points he can get.
Advantage: The Pain Train

K/DEF
It's kind of a wash in my mind, but Justina might get a slight advantage with Dallas D playing Houston over KC D over SF.
Advantage: Mo Murray Less Probs

Winner: Mo Murray Less Probs
Partly because I think it's what will happen but also partly because I forgot to tell her HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY.

That face, though.

Unicorn Burps v. GHOTEM
QB
Peyton Manning.  Do I really have to do the rest of this?  David's team is virtually unbeatable right now.
Advantage: Unicorn Burps

WR
Marshall, Green, Hopkins v. Edelman, Hilton, Floyd.  You do the math.
Advantage: Unicorn Burps

RB
Maybe Andrew has a fighting chance if both Gore and Charles do well.  It's not impossible.  But Marshawn is back and Rashad Jennings is up against an easy Atlanta Defense.  I think Unicorn is the safe pick here.
Advantage: Unicorn Burps

TE
Larry Donnell isn't even playing that consistently, but I'd take him over Jordan Cameron or Jason Witten all day.  David was smart enough to play him last week, unlike Larry Donnell, who benched himself for Vernon Davis WUT.
Advantage: Unicorn Burps

K/DEF
This is where Andrew will have to shine.  Seattle Defense with 50 points!!
Advantage: GHOTEM

Winner: Unicorn Burps
So now it's become the Timmy Curse v. David's Willpower showdown.  IT'S ON!!! GHOTEMyback.  No, but seriously, I think David will win - I'm not actively trying to curse him.  Like I said before, his team is virtually unbeatable now.  And even Yahoo! is predicting a David Lin win.  So it's GHOTEMberight.

Charlotte Hornets v. Terrific Tortoises
QB
Philip Rivers has been finding his groove, while Cam Newton has not.  :(
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

WR
Looks like David has more faith in KB than he does Andre Johnson, and I don't blame him.  Unluckily for him, he's up against some stiff competition this week with Abraham's beast WRs.  Antonio Brown has been playing off the charts, Alshon Jeffery is solid, and Aaron Rodgers seems to have found a groove, which bodes well for Randall Cobb.  David's WRs have pretty cushy matchups this week, but I'm liking Abraham's WRs.
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

RB
Gio alone will likely outscore Gerhart and Ball combined.
Advantage: Terrific Tortoises

TE
Abraham has gotten some good usage out of his waiver-pickup Walker.  I think he'll still be good for more points.
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

K/DEF
I like the Shayne Graham / Indy D combo that Abraham has up his sleeve.
Advantage: Charlotte Hornets

Winner: Charlotte Hornets
Abraham's team is on a 3-game win streak, and I don't think it'll be stopping anytime soon.

I'm Coming Home. v. #SOverySHADY
QB
Double A-Ron Rodgers seems to have found a rhythm.  Big Ben might still play well, but I think Rodgers has the upper hand here.
Advantage: #SOverySHADY

WR
I can't ignore the fact that Duke has Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, and what I assume will be Andre Johnson.  But all have been unimpressive at times.  Eric has Jordy, Reggie Wayne, and new member Emmanuel Sanders.  I like how Eric's WRs have been playing over Duke's, but this is given that at any moment, any or all of Duke's WRs could blow Eric's out of the water.  So I'm reluctant to make this call, but my gut tells me to go with...
Advantage: #SOverySHADY

RB
No question here.  Duke has RBs that actually will play.
Advantage: I'm Coming Home.

TE
Martellus has just been more impressive than Gronk, plus Bennett is up against Carolina.
Advantage: #SOverySHADY

K/DEF
Pittsburgh D has a better chance against Jacksonville than Denver D against Arizona, plus Duke's got the better kicker.
Advantage: I'm Coming Home

Winner: #SOverySHADY
It hinges on the WR battle.  If Eric can pull that out, he'll have the win.  Big if, though.

Chou Chainz v. Spider Pig
QB
Matt Ryan - easy pick.
Advantage: Spider Pig

WR
Luke gets Demaryius back, who I think will do better.  I think.  Plus, Aaron's WRs aren't that impressive
Advantage: Spider Pig

RB
Asiata seems to be getting the work done with AP out, and Arian Foster, if healthy, will be better than Aaron's RBs.  But even if Arian can't play, Luke has better options on his bench than Aaron does.
Advantage: Spider Pig

TE
Jimmy Graham - only thing keeping Aaron in it.
Advantage: Chou Chainz

K/DEF
Wouldn't be surprised if Luke's Kicker made bank this week.  Because both of their defenses aren't looking too promising.
Advantage: Spider Pig

Winner: Spider Pig
And this is Aaron's team at full force?

Power Rankings: Week 5

One more week in the books!  One blockbuster trade in the books, and another big trade in the works.  Things are looking more and more interesting...

1. Unicorn Burps (3-1) [1]

So if David manages to shed himself of the parasite named Tom Brady and gain a consistent, every-week starter in Peyton Manning (who no longer has a bye week this season), his team just got borderline unbeatable.  Sure, he loses Jeremy Maclin, but that dude is bound to get hurt down the road this season.  He still has Brandon Marshall, ArtichokeJalapeno Green, and an up-and-coming DeAndre Hopkins at WR, the most reliable RB thus far this season in Marshawn Lynch, and options between Ahmad Bradshaw and Rashad Jennings to tinker with.  And sure, Larry Donnell won't score 3 TDs every week, but he looks a heckofalot better when Eli looks sharp.  Still not sure how he talked Jeff into this trade.  Oh wait, I remember now:
Never gets old.  Jeff's not going to drop that pretty face.

2. Terrific Tortoises (2-2) [2]

Tough loss for David this week, but he was without Gio and Percy Harvin, so those Bye Week Blues hit hard for him.  I'm not worried, though - I think at full strength, David easily has a top-2 team in our league.  Gio has been playing out of his mind, and David's WRs are scary good.  Nick Foles won't continue to play so terribly, and Cam won't be a bad option if David has to fall back on him.  Hence, David retains his #2 spot.

3. Seenie J (2-2) [4]

Jeff's team pulls out a victory, much thanks to Andrew Luck and Matt Forte.  He'll get an upgrade at WR for what he thinks is a minimal price, and it may very well pay off for him.  I'm of the thought that Maclin will get hurt later this season, but at least Jeff will have some time to get a little mileage out of him, even if it is short-lived.  With the addition of Maclin, Jeff will have a solid team moving forward, as long as Luck and Forte continue to do their parts.  In my opinion, though, he could (and should) have gotten more for Peyton.  Just sayin'.

4. Mo Murray No Probs (2-2) [5]

DeMarco Murray continues to impress.  Ride him as long as you can, Justina!  The pieces still don't add up in my mind when I'm trying to figure out the puzzle that is Justina's team, but she recovered pretty convincingly from a dismal showing last week.  Consistency will be something to watch out for in the future, but Justina's team has potential to be deceptively good.

5. Odoyle rules! (3-1) [7]

With Shady on my team, I'm liking what I see in the future of my season.  Sure, he's had two dud weeks, but I'm hopeful that things will look up from here.  Shady, just please don't beat your wife or your girlfriend or your kids or smoke weed or call your commissioner a liar.  Just please, don't.  Le'Veon continues to give me solid production, and Steve Smith Sr. is looking like Steve Smith circa 2005 (with Ragin' Cajun Jake Delhomme - it's Bo Time!)!  Throw Jay Cutler and Wes Welker in the mix (assuming he doesn't get hurt, which is highly possible), and hey hey, 3-1 record and beyond!

6. Charlotte Hornets (3-1) [8]

Wow what a brutal beating Abraham's team laid on Eric's team.  Just brutal.  I'm starting to think Abraham can rely on his QB and WRs (and even TE??) to get some quality wins without help from his RBs.  I mean, his team has proven itself the past 3 weeks.  Deservedly, his team gets a bump up in the rankings.  Just put an asterisk next to them, though - we'll see if this is sustainable.

7. I'm Coming Home. (3-1) [6]

Duke squeaks out a win, but it was by no means impressive.  His 3-1 record should really be a 1-3 record, but I know he's not complaining.  The pieces are all there for a successful team, and they've clicked enough to get the wins, but they haven't reached their full potential.  I'll keep him around the 6-7 spot, since I still don't know what to make of his team.

8. Spider Pig (2-2) [3]

As Luke lamented to me:
The curse was trying to help you, Luke, but unfortunately it was not strong enough.  With his team scoring second-to-last in points for the second week in a row, I unfortunately have to give his team a significant bump down.  His team has potential, he's just managed to start the wrong players the past two weeks, and it's cost him both games.  The loss of AP has had its toll on Luke's team, but in my opinion, he's managed that crisis relatively nicely.  I don't think it'll spend much time in this part of the rankings.

9. #SOverySHADY (1-3) [12]

Scoring the second-most points in the league this week still wasn't enough for Eric's team to pull off the victory.  However, with the addition of Aaron Rodgers and Emmanuel Sanders, Eric's team holds a ton of promise.  It appears that the smile in his picture just got a little bigger.  He'll still be traveling upstream without a paddle with nothing at RB, but as Abraham's team has shown, not having good RBs isn't the end of the world.  Eric will be able to recover from this week's loss in future weeks.

10. GHOTEM (1-3) [11]

HEY!! Looks like Jamaal Charles is back!  While that is good news for Andrew's team, he unfortunately wasn't able to pull out a win this week.  But hark!  At least the future is looking brighter!  Russell Wilson will be back, and... Jamaal!!

11. The Pain Train (1-3) [9]

What was once a team with such great promise continues to underperform and disappoint.  To give it some due credit, Gabs's team did better this week than last week, but there's some leaks that will need to be patched up, especially at WR.

12. Chou Chainz (1-3) [10]

Yeah, that Week 2 blow-out victory was a fluke.  Aaron's team is so piecemeal and inconsistent, I don't even understand.  In my opinion, he doesn't have too much to reliably work with on a weekly basis.
